All roles at ACT are open to anyone in the community! No experience is necessary to audition. Here are a few tips to help you understand our audition process:
Auditions are held over several days, and you may choose any open scheduled audition time. Auditions for ACT shows are held at our studio space in the Stage 2 building at 109 Main Street, Amesbury MA 01913. Please use the ramp entrance with the ACT sign on the door.
We will provide the approximate list of characters and what to prepare when audition dates are announced.
Once the cast list has been published on our website and on Facebook, a parent meeting will be held whereby at that time the registration fee will be due.
Friday, 9/6 from 6-8pm Saturday, 9/7 from 10am-12pm Call backs will be held Sat. 9/7 from 2-4pm
Those auditioning for a lead role should prepare a monologue of their choosing and be ready to dance. They should also have a song in the style of the show prepared (from the show is fine!). Anyone interested in the role of Peter should be ready to sing "I Gotta Crow." Anyone interested in Mrs Darling or Wendy should prepare "Tender Shepherd."
All others should prepare a song to sing (from the show is fine!). Bring sheet music (an accompanist will be provided) or sing a cappella. Be ready to dance.
Show dates are the weekend of November 15th at Amesbury Middle School.
